Our Journey
Carpet Trader Bicester was founded in 2000 by Derek Holland with a focus on high quality installations and excellent customer service. The business became Carpet Trader Bicester Limited in 2011 and is now located just off Launton Road on Granville Way, having previously operated from locations such as Deans Court.
As a family run business serving Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and the surrounding areas, Carpet Trader offers a comprehensive range of flooring solutions including carpets, vinyl, luxury vinyl tiles, laminate, solid and engineered wood, carpet tiles and safety flooring. Known for its customer focused approach, the company provides free measuring and quotes, price matching, an eighteen month installation guarantee and Karndean flooring repairs, all carried out by its in house team of fitters.
Carpet Trader operates one of the largest flooring showrooms in the region, measuring approximately five thousand square feet, and works directly with manufacturers to offer competitive pricing. Despite a vandalism incident in 2002, the business has continued to grow and evolve, maintaining a strong reputation for quality and reliability within the local community.

We provide specialist testing, advice, and reporting as a standard part of our service.
If you encounter any issues with your subfloor, our experienced flooring specialists will visit your property to assess the situation and recommend the necessary subfloor preparation. Additionally, we can arrange for an independent subfloor specialist to conduct a thorough inspection and provide a detailed report—another complimentary service offered by Carpet Trader.
Leveraging the superior craftsmanship of our team of master fitters, we also offer a range of additional services, including the installation of skirting boards, scotia, and beading for wood and laminate flooring. We can trim doors to ensure proper clearance following your new floor installation, and expertly repair or rectify damaged or uneven subfloors to guarantee a flawless foundation for your new carpet or flooring.
